Gramercy Park is one of the quietest corners of Manhattan. The private, gated park is ringed by 19th-century townhouses and grand pre-war apartment buildings, and the historic district keeps much of that look in place. Many homes here are co-ops with boards and house rules, and many are full of family pieces: antique rugs, wood furniture and fabrics that need gentle care.
We take that seriously. Before we start, we look at the fibers, the dyes and the floors around the carpet. Older homes often have fine wood floors right next to the rugs, so we control moisture and keep our equipment off finished surfaces. If your co-op limits work hours or needs paperwork from the managing agent, tell us when you book and we will plan for it.

Townhouses near the park often have steep stairs and old woodwork. We carry compact equipment and protect railings and floors on the way in.

Many Gramercy co-ops set work hours and elevator times. Share the rules with us and we will keep to them.

Wool, silk and older rugs get a slower, gentler method, with a dye test before any cleaning begins.

Carpet is $55 per room. Wool and silk rugs are $4-$5 per sq ft. Sofas and mattresses are $99. Your first cleaning is 20% off.
In Gramercy, wall-to-wall carpet is often found in bedrooms, on townhouse stairs and in the long halls of larger apartments. Stair carpet wears fastest, right at the front edge of each step. We clean stairs by hand where a machine cannot reach, then pre-spray the rooms and use hot water extraction to lift the deep dirt. Room carpet is $55 per room.
Fine rugs are a big part of many Gramercy homes. Persian and Oriental rugs, wool flatweaves and the occasional silk piece all need different care. We check the dyes first, clean the pile gently and take care with the fringe. The rate for wool and silk is $4-$5 per square foot, and antique rug cleaning is from $99. If a rug is very old or fragile, we will tell you honestly what cleaning can and cannot do.
Many apartments around the park have upholstered pieces that are decades old: a family sofa, a pair of armchairs, dining chairs with fabric seats. Upholstery cleaning begins at $99, and a sofa is $99. We check the fabric first and choose a method that suits it, from sturdy cotton blends to delicate velvet.
Pets and fine rugs do not always mix. If your dog or cat has an accident, call us soon, because urine can set into wool and harm the dyes over time. Our pet stain removal reaches the backing, not just the surface. A mattress can be cleaned on the same visit for $99, which helps with dust and allergens.

Call early and we will try to fit in a same-day visit in Gramercy Park, so a spill before a dinner party does not have time to set.

First-time customers get 20% off the first cleaning. You get the full price before any work begins.
Since 2005 we have cleaned carpets and rugs across Manhattan, and our office on East 29th Street is only a few blocks from the park. We understand older homes, quiet buildings and careful neighbors, and we work in a calm, tidy way that fits right in.

Simple habits keep your floors looking good longer:
Turn your area rugs every few months so sun from park-facing windows fades them evenly.
Blot spills right away with a white towel. Do not rub, and keep colored cleaners away from wool.
Put rug pads under area rugs on wood floors. They protect the floor and help the rug wear evenly.
Leave shoes at the door in winter, so street salt does not get ground into the carpet.
Vacuum the busy paths every week, and book a deep cleaning when those lanes start to look gray.
Call or use our online form. We’ll confirm your needs and schedule your professional service at your convenience.
Our trained technicians thoroughly pre-treat, deep-scrub, and steam extract all dirt and grime from your carpet fibers.
Enjoy the beautiful, fresh, and clean carpet that transforms the look and feel of your Gramercy Park home or office.
Our crews also work in the neighborhoods next to Gramercy Park. To the west is the Flatiron District, with its loft apartments near Madison Square Park, and to the east is Kips Bay, where our office is.
